There is good news and minor bad news today. First the good news. We left the campground at 9:30 AM and headed into downtown Cleveland and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This was the first item on Pete's "bucket list". The place did not disappoint. For 3 and 1/2 hours we explored this very well done museum. That amount of time was just right and the only thing which could make the museum a 2-day attraction would be if one took the time to view every minute of every video in the whole place. It was really cool to visit an entire museum of history that started within our own lifetimes. We have been alive through all of it.
After the R&R HOF we took a 2-hour boat cruise on a 300 passenger boat through the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland and out onto Lake Erie. The day was beautiful in the mid 80s and the breeze on the lake was terrific. We learned a lot about this city which neither of us had ever visited.
We arrived back at the campsite about 6:30 pm - just in time to batten down the hatches for a very severe thunderstorm. We looked on the computer to see what was up and the county next to the one we're in had a tornado warning. Well our little RV rocked and rolled with the high winds and heavy rain but it was all over by about 8:15 and all is well.
Now the minor bad news. It seems that our USB cable which connects the camera to the Mac is dead. We will replace it ASAP but for the moment we can't upload any photos to the Mac and thus to this blog. We do have many great photos and a few we want to put up here. I will upload them to the appropriate posts when we have corrected this situation. Please be patient.
Tomorrow will be a busy one as we head for Crawfordsville, IN via Mansfield, OH with a stop in Sidney, OH to see the church founded in the 1890s by Pete's great-grandfather Rev. Thomas Robert Hazzard.
It has been a great 4th day!
